Your 7 step program to Positive Thinking

I’m sure you have a bright idea hidden somewhere in the back of your mind that you just can’t wait to test out. Of course you’re not the only one with the bright idea. So what motivates you to churn those creative, or even inspiring juices to its utmost flavor?  And before the guy down the street?

It’s always best to set up a personal goal where you can accomplish the most in record time, maybe like mowing the lawn in an hour before the big game on TV. A correct and positive attitude in whatever you do will make things easier, and even enjoyable.

Good ideas need time to form in your head and often brew while you are just sitting or doing mindless daily activities.  Following are some tips to maximize those ideas.

Having a bit of positive thinking can help you realize things that are never thought possible. Thinking big is indeed the American Way and that is what made our country prosperous.  But thinking big and positive thinking is just the first step.

1. Take passionate action towards living your life by design. Talk is cheap, but action speaks.  By putting passionate action behind your words, you are forming an authentic future.  Without the action, the passion itself is void.

This is a perfect example where dreams are made of where you start by tinkering with your mind, then with your hands. And if the idea weakens, you can always go back to it later until you finish it.

2. Commit to yourself as well as those you love to create powerfully a life you can love. Instead of reacting, take charge and commit to creating from your true self: from your heart and soul.  Create out of love rather than fear.  If you don’t believe in yourself, your ideas and actions will reflect this. A dream is just a dream without motion, but the motion must be genuine. Be amazed as the transformation begins.

3. Recognize and embrace the thought that each moment is value added regardless of its outcome. Every time you hit on something that may appear too extreme, why not give it a shot and see if it will work. The worst that could happen is you actually get the task done.  Pay attention to the journey because if you are not pleased with the outcome, you can shift the process and try again.  Never settle; continual improvement is the key to success and growth.

4. Dwell completely in a place of gratitude. Learn to utilize what you have in your hands and make use of it in the most constructive way. Slipping into neediness will become less of a habit when you repeatedly shift towards gratitude, away from poverty consciousness.

5. Use a Passion Formula of Recognize/Reevaluate/Restore in place of the Shoulda/Woulda/Coulda whirlwind. The former is based in increased knowledge and abundance while the latter focuses on scarcity and lack. Living in the past or future rather than enjoying and learning from the present is destructive.  As you face people or tasks that may seem harder than scaling the summit of the Himalayas, allow yourself to realize that the task is important.

6. Keep humor at the forefront of thought, laughing at and with yourself when possible. You may find yourself quite entertaining when you loosen up!  Life has too much to offer to allow you to mope around in self pity. Humor is very attractive, very passionate: life-giving.

7. Believe that you are the architect of your destiny. No one can take your passionate future from you except you! You can be your greatest asset or your own worst enemy.  Create your life authentically. As long as there’s still breath in your body, there is no end to how much you can accomplish in a lifetime. The concept of thinking big is all about enjoying your work, which would lead to celebrate a discovery that is born within your hands. Watch everything flow into place with perfect, passionate precision.

Take example from Rose.  At the age of 87, Rose attended college for the first time in her life.  Dumb-founding everyone with the “point” of going to school at that age, Rose jokingly replied “I’m here to meet a husband, settle down, maybe have a couple of kids.”  But in all seriousness, her real response was “I always dreamed of having a college education and now I’m getting one!”  Not only did she achieve that, but she touched and inspired the lives of many as over 2,000 people attended her funeral after she died one week post graduation peacefully in her sleep.  Shortly before graduation, Rose had given a speech at the football banquet.  It reads as follows: “We do not stop playing because we are old.  We grow old because we stop playing.  There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success.  You have to laugh and find humor every day.  You have to have a dream; when you lose your dreams, you die.  We have so many people walking around whom are dead and don’t even know it!  There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up.  If you are 19 years old and lie in bed for one full year and don’t do one productive thing, you will turn 20 years old.  If I’m 87 years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything, I will turn 88.  Anybody can grow older; that doesn’t take any talent or ability.  The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change.  Have no regrets.  The elderly usually don’t have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do.  The only people who fear death are those with regrets.”

The simplest of dreams, led by passion, can be the most rewarding.
